Dear Rosewood Community,
In the midst of our gatherings—our music, our sensuality, our laughter—there is also a hum beneath the surface. A quiet ache that ripples across our collective body. As we open our doors to connection and pleasure, the world around us is trembling. Gaza continues to bleed. Ukraine remains under fire. Over 122 million people have been displaced by war. The Amazon is being swallowed by greed. ICE raids are separating families on our own soil. And famine looms in nations like Sudan, South Sudan, and Gaza, where even food has become a battlefield. The pain is not far—it lives in all of us. Even our weather feels it. What should be a golden summer in New York has arrived cloaked in clouds and rain—like the skies are mourning with us.
We believe that eroticism and empathy are not separate. That beauty can hold grief. That pleasure and prayer can walk hand in hand. So we invite you—our beloved community—to take a sacred pause with us this week. Whether through meditation, a whispered intention, or a candle lit beside your bed, send your prayers to the places on this planet where the suffering is loud and the silence is unbearable. Pray for the women dancing in the moonlight of Gaza. The fathers holding their children in Sudan. The coral reefs crying out for breath. Pray for the leaders of this world to remember their hearts.
As part of this collective pause, we’ll be closing our doors Monday June 23rd at Clubhouse and Tuesday June 24th at Rosewood. Throughout the rest of the week, we will open each night with a short meditation—please join us. Guests are complimentary all week as we open our safe space even more to the community. All non-alcoholic drinks will be half off all week, as we encourage connection and presence.
Rosewood remains a sanctuary for the human spirit. A space that honors the full spectrum of our humanity. And right now, we are listening. With tenderness. With trust. With love that moves across borders.
