CLOSED: A Moment for the World

  • Rosewood Theater 552 West 38th Street New York, NY, 10018 United States (map)

Dear Community,

In the midst of our gatherings—our music, our sensuality, our laughter—there is also a hum beneath the surface. A quiet ache that ripples across our collective body. As we open our doors to connection and pleasure, the world around us is trembling. War in the Middle East and Ukraine. Over 122 million people displaced around the world. The Amazon and our oceans are being swallowed by greed. ICE raids are separating families on our own soil. And famine looms in nations like Sudan. The pain is not far - perhaps you feel it much like our weather. What should be a golden summer in New York has arrived cloaked in clouds and rain.

Rosewood stands as a sanctuary for the human spirit. A space that honors the full spectrum of our humanity. And right now, we are taking time to listen. With tenderness. With trust. With love that begins in our own hearts and vibrates across borders.

As part of this collective reflection, we’ll be closing our doors Monday June 23rd at Clubhouse and Tuesday June 24th at Rosewood. Throughout the rest of this month (June), we will open each night with a short meditation—please join us. Guests are complimentary all this month as we open our space to the greater community. All non-alcoholic drinks will be half off this month, as we encourage connection and presence.

We are all in this together.
